Capital residents demand cleanliness

Residents of sectors G-7, G-10, G-9, I-8, I-9 and I-10 are facing a lot of problems as the authorities concerned seem least interested to clean these areas.

They alleged that Capital Development Authority (CDA) did not bother about ensuring proper maintenance of parks and there was no place for public gatherings in these sectors.

The residents of I-10 said the issue had been brought to the notice of the CDA time and again.

Even roads and streetlights were in poor shape while wild growth of grass was another problem, he said.

Heaps of garbage, scattered construction material attracted immediate attention of the authorities concerned, said others.

They said pedestrians avoided footpaths due to wild bush and traffic on roads was messy.

Besides cleanliness, they also complained of growing encroachments in these sectors.
